Nice to here it confirmed, I still think 7/7 will be pushing it though. Gutted if Royce's album would be pushed back though, but if SH drops I think I'll get over it!

Yeah, I heard Royce might not be till August and even that's up in the air.

Why the push back? Is the album done yet?

I'm not really sure, I don't follow Royce too much, but I could of sworn I heard the album was done at ONE point. I'd assume it's the same deal as everyone else, let Slaughterhouse drop first and use it as promotion for additional projects.

Street Hop has been done for ages, but hes one of those guys that won't stop working on something until he absolutely has to.

But it sounds like Street Hop has been pushed back indefinitely. Hopefully it will drop in August..

Quote:Recently, there has been a lot of speculation about whether or not Slaughterhouse actually signed a deal with E1 (formerly Koch Records). In a brand new video update, the Slaughterhouse crew puts the doubt to rest and confirms the deal. Although this video does not confirm the self-titled album's July 7th release date, there is no reason to there is a change in plans. We also get a sneak peak at one of the album's new songs in which K-Young laces the hook over a smooth gangster-style melody. The track is produced by former Aftermath Entertainment producer Focus and he is certainly in rare form on this one. From what we have heard so far, including the recently leaked Alchemist beat, there is no doubt this album is going to shake the game up. Make certain that you head over to OnSmash.com to check out the video in full or click on the included link below. Finally, remember to catch Slaughterhouse performing on this summer's "Rock The Bells Tour" which kicks off June 27th in Chicago.

Hip Hop Supergroup Slaughterhouse (Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, Crooked I and Royce Da 5'9") to Release Much Buzzed About Debut Album on E1 Music

New Self-Titled Debut to Be Released on July 7th, 2009; Group to Tour Nationally This Summer

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - May 28, 2009) - On July 7th 2009, E1 Music is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated debut album from Slaughterhouse -- the hip hop super-group featuring four of the most lyrical MCs in the game -- Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5'9", Joe Budden and Crooked I.

The group came together only 10 short months ago when Joe Budden was working on a song for his "Halfway House" album and enlisted the services of Crooked I, Joell Ortiz and Royce Da 5'9" for a song called "Slaughterhouse." Inspired by the vibe of track and the immediate chemistry of the four rappers, a plan was immediately made to form the super-group. Several songs and a handful of viral videos later only created increased demand and curiosity from fans. Hip-hop heads demanded to hear more! And now they'll be able to.

The fearsome foursome is now in the studio recording songs for its official upcoming debut album. The album will feature production by The Alchemist, Streetrunner, DJ Khalil and Denaun Porter.

Among working track titles of songs set to be included on the album are "Not Tonight," "Microphone," "Number 1" and "Cuckoo."

Slaughterhouse member Royce Da 5'9" weighs in, "This group is really something special and this summer I'm excited to show the world what we have to offer! If you thought that we were just gonna release a few tracks to the net and then disappear you are in for a very rude awakening."

Joell Ortiz adds, "We did an entire album in 6 days! When you genuinely love what you're doing everything is effortless. It was like a long party. I can't wait for the fans to experience this album."

Alan Grunblatt, Executive VP/GM of E1 Music, offers, "Slaughterhouse is the most exciting new group to hit the hip hop scene in many years. I'm thrilled to be working with old friends Royce, Joell, Crooked and new friend Joe Budden."

Slaughterhouse will be touring this summer, on both the "Rock The Bells" tour and on a club tour around the RTB's dates. For a complete list of dates please visit: http://www.guerillaunion.com/rockthebells/
